San Pedro Town, the heart of Ambergris Caye is located on the South end of the island. This island is said to have been the inspiration of the hit song “La Isla Bonita” by world famous singer and composer Madonna. Ambergris Caye is the largest island of Belize measuring at 27 square miles in length; it is home to more than 16,000 residents. Local residents are often referred to as San pedranos, derived from the name of the town, San Pedro.
Caye Caulker is a small, unique, and very relaxing island known for its friendly people and amazing snorkeling and diving trips. Listen to local music while you enjoy more than 20 different types of restaurants including Cuban, Turkish, Belizean and Chinese. Caye Caulker only has an approximate population of 1,500 inhabitants. With its turquoise seas, sandy beaches and tropical coconut trees; Caye Caulker is picturesque and magical.
